New York
Times bestseller All I Really Need to Know I Learned in Kindergarten
by
Robert Fulghum
The villagers from Solomon Islands
somewhere at the south Pacific, they practice a unique form of logging. Natives
would cut down their desired torso by yelling at it as if they were
casting a curse. The woodsmen with special powers gather around the tree and
rudely scream at it. And for thirty days, this particular tree dies on its own.
Their presumed theory is that the hollering kills the spirit of the tree.
-Treasure hunters-
Ceaseless extraction of minerals, a greedy purpose, one ferocious laugh
and the nature's wrath.
Since then, the earth’s ore plays as the
prime builders of civilization. But then again man’s curiosity brings out
upgraded technologies and begins to dig a little dipper.
Mining, the treasure hunting industry
that gains profit from extracting non-renewable resource that is use for
today's accessorizing, upgrading machinery as well as strengthening
weapons. All are used for the benefits of man and nothing is done to pay back
the credits.
World’s top countries has already taste
the aftermaths of their works despite of their prominence, the erosion that has
taken lives, loss of biodiversity, contamination of water bodies that poisons
the other creatures from mining area and may even end up with more massive
environmental hazards.

-White Ghosts-
Plastic is not evil, the creation of Plastics indeed brought us
convenience. Through the past years, manufactured product emergent had become
trendy. From package container to every house appliances is made of
plastic. Even humans though have its so called “plastic personas”.
Though in this photo the artists wear plastic bags to raise
people's awareness of the "White pollution which mainly refers to the
two negative effects on the environment: visual pollution and potential hazards
due to the ineffective management and disposal of plastic rubbish.
*Visual pollution??
These are the scattered rubbish that degrades the image of such
landscapes. The discarded wrappers and disposable foam plastic dishes that are
being blown around in the air, hanging in tree branches and stuck in
water drainage that inflicts the ambiance of negativity.
While potential hazards
,
refers to long-term and deep-seated environmental
problems.
thus certain casualties occurs, the Plastic agricultural film waste remaining in a wide area of
the soil and accumulating over a long period of time, causing the soil to
harden and affecting the crops' absorption of nutrients and water.
Consequently, it leads to a reduction in crop outputs. (2) Plastic waste discarded on the land and in water bodies may be
mistaken for food by the animals, leading to animal deaths if they eat the
waste. (3) Plastic waste mixed with household garbage is light in weight,
voluminous and difficult to be disposed of. If the land fill disposal method is
used, this plastic waste will occupy a vast area of land and there will be
trouble resolving this even over a long period of time.

Out of sight, out of mind
We always prefer instant solution to get rid of our
nuisance. Out of sight, out of mind! Free of guilt, we all do it anyway. Buy;
consume then dump it right away to anywhere while we think no one is watching. Yes! I did it pretty much. Well, congrats we just contribute big time to
the world’s global warming! Little dirty deeds lead us to what the world is facing
now.
Smoking directly corrupts the atmosphere, land, water bodies, the ecological system as well as your very kind. The cigarette butts that are nastily dump end up in canals and streams which fishes mistake it as their food resulting to their death. The remaining cigar butts left in ground will take long journey as they roar nomadically.
On top of that, we do lots of choice in doing such blissful
negligence. At home, burying waste to a composed pit will probably take decades
to degrade. It may fade out of our sights but it doesn't pop out of the
planet! It just been buried deep in landfills and backyards which erodes the
essentials of the earth’s façade.
If you prefer burning and incinerate these polystyrene
polymers at the back of your yard, this releases the so called styrene. Styrene
gas is probably absorbed through the skin and lungs that will cause respiratory
ailments. Since ashes and its smoke directly jam with the air, it’s a free for
all, to breathe in these hazardous chemicals. The ozone layer has already
retreating caused by this negligence.
Aside of that the nonstop cigarette smoking of our fellowmen
that even youngsters are already patronizing this coolers on stick. Out of mind, they
blatantly ignore the aftermaths of their almost every day pestering.

Fortunately, Hope seems to be on our side. For Albayano’s,
the provincial regime sets Eco-Ordinance such as banning of smoking as well as
the plastic prohibition. There is a penalty and fine given corresponding to
their breach. Reusable Eco bags and paper hand bags is now being used as
replacement for plastic packaging in department stores.
Resolutions, the changes we all justify. We already come to
the realization that change starts within ourselves. The domino effect that
says of a single breakthroughs influence others to follow is a motivator to
keep us in doing something for a great change.
Lastly, we co- exist with the every living being, everyone is
affected of what we do. Value and appreciate our home planet, it is all that we
have!
